GBN Supports Black Lives Matter
The Georgia Birth Network is in full support of Black Lives Matter and calls for our community to stand together and demand justice for Black people.
As birthworkers in GA, we are particularly committed to changing the maternal mortality rate by taking action against the systemic racism in our healthcare system against Black birthing people. Black mothers deserve respect, resources and access in maternal healthcare.
We encourage everyone to learn and take action in whatever way you can, whether that be protesting at the front lines, calling your elected officials, donating to organizations who are doing the work, elevating Black voices, or all of the above.
