Membership Information

 

Membership to Georgia Birth Network is open to all birth professionals and members of the community who are willing to abide by the Code of Ethics and by the principles of the CIMS Mother-Friendly Childbirth Initiative and the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes.

Individual/Advertiser Membership $85/year

For individuals or groups of less than 3 members. Benefits of this level of membership include: 

    • Advertising – Listing in our website directory. (This is limited to 3 categories.)

    • Training Programs (mini-seminars on various subjects)

    • GBN Newsletter (4 issues/year)

    • Mentorship Program

    • Participation in Community Events

    • Events and Classes listed on GBN Events Calendar

    • Facebook Discussion Group

    • Networking Opportunities

    • Leadership Opportunities

    • Scholarship Opportunities

Group Membership $170/year

  • For companies and groups with 3 or more members/employees. This includes people working through or for the company listed. For more details on the benefits and restrictions of Group Membership as compared to Individual Memberships, see below:

  • Advertising – Listing in Referrals section of the website under the groups name.
  • Attendance to any GBN Meetings
  • Participation in Community Events
  • Events and Classes listed on GBN Events Calendar
  • Facebook Discussion Group
  • GBN Newsletter (4 issues/year) – This will be emailed to the main contact for the group.
  • Networking Possibilities
  • Leadership Possibilities

Restrictions 

  • Group memberships are only allowed one vote in GBN elections.
  • Group memberships do not qualify for scholarship opportunities.
  • Only three members from a group that are not individual members can qualify for membership discounts at workshops or other events held by GBN.
  • At advertising events, each group is allowed only two representatives. If someone within your group that is an Individual member attends, they do not count as one of your two representatives.

Support Member $29/year

  • For members of the community that would like to support GBN, but not interested in referrals, which includes all benefits listed above, except referrals and advertising. Please use the Paypal buttons below to join, not the Individual Advertiser/Group Member option.
